New Years Eve was a bit of a scorcher. Consequently, the beach was the place to be. By 7.30 in the evening, things had cooled enough to make venturing outside very enjoyable. Nick and I ducked over to the beach so that he could have a swim in the lake!

Christmas 2010
This year, we traveled to Sydney to celebrate Christmas with the Carter Family. Stephen bought Nanny Pat over from the hospital where she has been staying and Peter, Sue & Thomas Carter came up from Nowra. We spent the rather warm day, unwrapping presents, eating, drinking, swimming and playing backyard cricket. We had a thought for Luke Carter who is currently serving on the HMAS Melbourne in Somalia and for Damon and his wife Deanne who were unable to make it over from Perth.
John and I decided to drive back to Narooma late on Christmas afternoon so that we could all wake up in our own beds on Boxing day, thus successfully eluding the notorious Boxing Day Traffic. It was a long & tiring drive home but well worth it!
